I have long wanted to make the trunk open with a button. And I decided to do it when I saw a universal activator for the trunk. Its advantage is that it is cable-based.

In general, the following were purchased: -activator -wires -fuse block -relay -window lifter rollers from VAZ 2107 (I bought two different ones, I didn’t know which one was better) - button from 2110

Assembling the circuit (I used the one I found on Drive) was not difficult, dragging the wires into the interior was the same, but stretching the wires to the trunk was much more difficult.

I read on the website that the roller for the cable is drilled out and screwed in place, I successfully screwed it up, the hole went away, but the roller with the bar fit very well. I only drilled a hole on the plate to 6 mm.

There were also problems with installing the solenoid. the bracket that was included hesitated to bend and adjust.

In the end, I connected everything, checked it, everything works. I went home happy, and at the first big pothole, my trunk opened, cursed, I got out, and closed it. a hundred meters later, the situation repeated itself...

As a result, I drove slowly, thinking that tomorrow I will redo it. The next day, I loosened the cable, I thought it was just that, or maybe a combination of them... I checked it, drove it around, and it didn’t open. and again, having already gone home, there was a shake, and it opened again.

In general, I found a way out - rubber buffers, which on the trunk lid (I don’t know what they’re called) were screwed in until they go. and that's it! everything is fine now.

Guys, help me with advice. Alarm Starline A 91, can you use it to open the trunk? If so, what wire should be connected to the button? What buttons should I press on the remote control then?

Adjusting the tailgate lock.

1. We unscrew the lock lock so that it can be moved with light force.

This solution should be considered temporary, since the production technology is the same and the problems will remain. Over time, a new lock will have to be replaced. The only positive side of this solution is that it is quite cheap.

The second option involves completely replacing the mechanical lock with an electrically controlled drive. What does this give?

1. Secure trunk closure.
2. Possibility to control the position of the rear door from the driver's seat.

Installing such a system is not the cheapest pleasure, but the final result will really please the user. The electronic drive is much more convenient to use and is a reliable replacement for its mechanical counterpart.

Dismantling the old castle

The VAZ 2114 model will be taken as an example.

The following tools will be useful in your work:

• key to 8.

The replacement sequence is as follows:

1. First of all, in order not to damage the interior lining of the trunk, we remove ten plastic fasteners, and then the plastic casing from the lock.
2. We remove the casing, then unscrew the nut that secures the lock in place.
3. Unscrew the wires that are in the way.

How to replace the trunk lock on a VAZ 2113-VAZ 2115?

2) After the upholstery is removed, unscrew two bolts and thereby remove the lock from the car, but only when unscrewing the bolts, take into account the fact that under one of them there are several terminals, one of which goes to the tailgate wiper motor, and the other to the stop -signal, and that’s it, the lock has been removed from the car.

3) As for sedans, first remove the plastic clips using a screwdriver, which strengthen the lock cover, and then the cover is removed (see photo 1), and when it is removed, proceed to disconnect the rod, for this the end of the rod (the rod is indicated in blue with the arrow in photo 2) remove it from the hole indicated by the green arrow, but keep in mind that the tip is bent and secured with the screw indicated by the yellow arrow, so first unscrew the screw, then straighten the bent end of the rod with pliers and only then pull the rod out of the hole in which it is located Once this is all done, remove the rod from the hole in the lock cylinder lever (see photo 3) and remove it, immediately after which unscrew the three nuts that strengthen the lock (see photo 4) to the trunk lid and remove it from the studs and Finally, unscrew the bolt that secures the lock

Note! The new lock is installed in its place in the reverse order of removal; when installing the nuts, do not tighten them all the way at first, but rather tighten them a little and try closing the trunk lid in different positions of the lock, then you will adjust the lock to the lid and it will lock normally!

Installation instructions for the electric trunk lock

If you are lucky with the standard lock, it locks and holds the tailgate well, then there is no need to change it.

In this case, you must have with you:

• window lifter roller;
• door activator;
• steel cable;
• wires with terminals;
• relay with four contacts;
• 10 A fuse.

To automate the opening of the trunk, it is necessary to ensure that the lock latch is pulled. For this purpose, a special roller is installed on the wiper gear housing. The steel cable is pulled through the roller and secured with conventional clamps. Experienced riders often use a bicycle cable because it is durable and flexible. Using it you can quite easily connect the door activator to the lock tongue.

You can connect the entire structure to the cigarette lighter if you do not have the proper knowledge of the car's electrical circuit. You just need to connect the plus from the cigarette lighter to the button and then to the lock. The negative comes from the taillight. How to open a VAZ 2109 without a key

Method 1

This method is the simplest and most harmless. A prerequisite for its use is the presence of factory door lock buttons in the cabin, or any other ones in the form of a fungus. They look like this:

If you have such buttons, then you are very lucky. Now you need to find a thin rope about 1 meter long, maybe smaller, the main thing is that it reaches from the roof of the car to the door lock lock button and still has about 30cm left. Thin laces from your running shoes may work. We definitely don't need flat laces. Now that we have a rope of the required length, we make a tightening loop at one of its ends, with a diameter approximately twice the size of the door latch cap.

The most important and difficult moment comes. We press the driver's door of the car from above, in the place indicated in the picture.

We lower the prepared rope and, after some attempt, depending on your accuracy, put it on the lock lock. Next, we lower the rope along the doorway so that it becomes parallel to the roof and tighten the loop on the latch. Now all that remains is to pull out the lock latch and your VAZ 2109 will be opened without a key and without damage.

Method 2

There is another way to open a VAZ 2109. In this case, you can also avoid damage if you do everything carefully. If your door lock latches are not in the form of a mushroom, then you can try doing it differently. In this case, we will need a regular screwdriver or better yet two. The main thing is that they are not “cross-shaped”, moderately thin and relatively durable. We go to the rear window and very carefully insert a screwdriver under its seal. I would advise doing this in the place indicated in the picture.

Together with rounding the corners of the window, the screwdriver should go through. The most important thing is to take your time and act carefully so as not to damage the window seal. After the screwdriver has gone inside, you need to carefully press the window in your direction, using your other hand to help pull the seal. In the worst case, when opening the VAZ 2109 you will damage the glass seal, but not so much that you will not be able to put it back. However, you will have to replace it when the opportunity arises.

Method 3

Using this method, you will definitely not be able to open your VAZ 2109 without damage. If none of the previous methods worked for you and your car has a trunk lock cylinder, then you can try this method. You need to find a good flat head screwdriver that is powerful enough. We insert a screwdriver into the trunk lock cylinder and sharply try to turn it in the opening direction. If you are strong enough and do everything sharply, the lock will turn and access to the car is free. Unfortunately, this method does not always help.

Method 4

This method has not been tested by the author, but was found on the Internet and tested by other car owners. If your car does not have a rotten trunk lid and a standard lock is installed, then all you need to do is pull the trunk lid sharply towards yourself and up. The probability of damage to the cover in those places that you will hold on to is quite high if the cover is not new. But usually, almost any VAZ 2109 opens using the first two methods.

Here, too, you need to act skillfully so as not to drill unnecessary holes. Secondly, the springs are still not suitable for working with the trunk lid of the VAZ-2115 and have the unpleasant property of stretching. Of course, these are not torsion bars, and replacing them will not be so difficult, but it is unlikely that any car owner wants to rack his brains and spend money once again.
