I decided that I would break it in like this - no more than 2,500 rpm. This is 90 km/h. I set up the cruise and drove off, only the tires were noisy. The cross holds the road excellently and is sensitive to steering movements. Everything is convenient, everything is at hand. I immediately figured out the multimedia gadgets - the radio reception is excellent, the volume and clarity of the sound are pleasing. I really liked talking “through the machine” - the music is gradually muffled, and then only the call comes through. Fuel consumption during the haul was shown by the car computer to be around 7.8 liters per 100 km. Great!

Compared to my previous Kia Sid and Cross. Not everything is so simple. In terms of handling, the Cross is not inferior to Sid, it even takes turns much more confidently (I’ve already had time to appreciate it) - but this is a track. But on gravel/primer or “tired” asphalt, here Cross is not a head, but all three taller than Sid.
Where Cross confidently drives at 60-70 km/h, Sid trudges along at 5-10 km/h, and if you give the gas and raise the speed to 25-30 km/h, then, excuse me, Sid will simply fall apart, since he has short-travel and rigid suspension. The Cross’s suspension, on the contrary, is long-travel and energy-intensive.
Around the cabin. Vesta has more space for the driver and front passenger; I’m already silent about the rear passengers, where three of them are quite comfortable. And in Side, rear passengers can feel comfortable, only two of them, the third will experience wild discomfort (a very hard seat in the middle).
True, the interior material is much better from the Korean. The dashboard made of SOFT plastic costs a lot, and the texture itself is pleasing to the eye. But the seats in Vesta, in my opinion, are better in terms of ergonomics. I set it up for myself quite quickly and comfortably.
But the driver’s left leg does not have enough space in the place of “rest”, and the front passenger also has a little trouble with his right leg. Why did the front arches climb into the interior?!
Now my Cross is being run-in, I try not to allow high revs (unless when overtaking). Dynamics can be rated 5-6 on a 10-point scale. Maybe it will open up by 10,000 km... In the urban cycle, the dynamics suit me.
AMT. Everything here is predictable and understandable... Changing gears takes a long 1.5-2.0 seconds, while the switching itself is very “amusing”. It takes a very long time for the clutch to engage and the car rolls at full speed, which creates the impression that someone is holding my Cross by the ass... As a result, banal engine braking occurs.
When you start pressing the gas pedal, the robot reacts quite quickly, but the main thing here is not to “overdo it,” otherwise you might end up with a kick-down with all the ensuing consequences.

Having sold XRAY, I was going to buy a Duster, but the impressions of the test drive, as well as the Lada Vesta SV Cross reviews from managers (although, of course, they would not talk badly about the new product) made me think twice.
Later I drove a Vesta with a robotic gearbox: it shifts extremely slowly, but accurately, the transition between first and second gears is smooth. It was not possible to form an impression about the engine, and the reason for this was the gas pedal being too hard, for which I was not mentally prepared. I’m used to barely touching the pedal, and then I have to give it with all my strength - a kind of psychological moment that did not allow me to test the motor. This pedal definitely takes some getting used to.

When driving on a dirt road, the advantage is completely on Vesta’s side - where on Side I moved a maximum of 10 km/h, on Lada you can easily drive all 40 km/h. This is thanks to the long-travel suspension.
- Salon . The Cross has more space for both the driver and rear passengers. In the Kia, the back seat is small and hard, making it difficult for three people to fit comfortably on it. But in terms of finishing materials, AvtoVAZ let us down. The original mat under the driver's left foot does not completely cover the carpet, which is why it is easy to get dirty. I don’t know what to do with this yet, but I’ll probably have to come up with some kind of plastic covers so as not to spoil the coating.
- Still, the automatic transmission on Kia works better than the robotic gearbox on the Cross. Perhaps the domestic manufacturer was driven by a desire to save money, since installing an automatic machine would have cost 70 thousand rubles more, but, on the other hand, this would have made the car attractive to more people.

He went out and froze. Another advantage of the camera is that when you back up on turns in yards, the camera seems to “look around the corners” - you don’t yet see in the mirrors what’s happening around the corner, but the camera already sees it. especially relevant in summer, because... soon children will rush around the yards on scooters and bicycles.
The new Lada Vesta SW Cross station wagon is easy to drive, economical (almost not on the highway), very comfortable for its class, and the design of the interior is also pleasing! I recommend! I've traveled long distances and I don't feel tired at all! I am pleasantly surprised by the multimedia system, sound, plus a rear view camera and parking sensors! Appearance
Externally, the new body of the 2022 Lada Vesta SW Cross will be difficult to distinguish from the old one, since design changes are minimal. In the photo you can only find a more prominent profile and a slightly modified radiator grille with optics.
The car's muzzle boasts a slightly longer and higher seating position. The hood, as before, has a wide and long protrusion in the center, giving the car a more daring look. The center of the bumper is still shaped like the letter “X”. The main air intake is rectangular. Its grille is made of plastic and is complemented by several horizontal thin lines. A continuation of the air intake is rectangular optics, the filling of which, unfortunately, remains only halogen.
Further, the insert narrows greatly, and towards the end it expands again into another air intake. This plastic part ends with a metal protective insert. You can also find metal protrusions in the center, the perimeter of which is trimmed with chrome, and inside them there are small rectangular cutouts with fog lights.
As mentioned earlier, the Vesta SW Cross received more relief from the side. In addition to the main one - X-shaped, you can also see such elements as swollen wheel arches with plastic coating, a protruding sill, also made of unpainted plastic, slightly redesigned mirrors with turn signals, huge windows separated by pillars, and other details.
The rear bumper of the car has not changed much. It still protrudes strongly to ensure maximum spaciousness, is decorated with a visor over the trunk door glass, rectangular stylish optics and relief, and is also protected by a plastic body kit with a metal insert, which has two cutouts - one with a forked exhaust pipe, and the other with an eye for towing.
Salon
On the center console you can find such details as a good multimedia system display, which is controlled by buttons and a washer located on the edges of it, air ducts, as well as a panel with the car’s climate control settings. You can also connect various external accessories to the car, thanks to several connectors also located on the dashboard.
The steering wheel finish has also been improved. Now it has become pleasant to the touch, fits well in the hand, and the buttons located on the spokes will allow the driver to more easily interact with the functionality of the car. The instrument panel has also changed slightly.
Unfortunately, the chairs have not changed much. They are still made of fabric and filled with far from the softest material, which has a bad effect on long trips.
Specifications
Lada Vesta Cross technical characteristics, what range of power plants and so on, we’ll find out now. So, the main thing you need to understand is that the price of a Lada Vesta station wagon is determined, among other things, depending on the engine. As you know, two motors are proposed:
- Lada Vesta 1.6 liters, generated 106 liters. With. and 148 Nm.
