Why does the engine get hot?

    We remove the head along with the inlet and outlet.

    We turn off everything in a circle, climb behind the head with our hand and check any wiring that is not visible, the intake bracket is on the bottom left, the rest is visible normally.

    I recommend removing the air intake housing and expansion valve so as not to interfere. We will also remove the cooling pipe running along the spar from the brackets, we will place a leg on the spar, and remove all the plastic protective covers over the radiator and headlights. We place a padded jacket or mattress on top of the radiator and the front part.

    Using a powerful screwdriver or pry bar, carefully lift the head off the block.

    We place our left foot on the spar, carefully do not crush the coolant pipe, lean slightly with our belly on the padded jacket, raise our head, if it doesn’t work, it means something hasn’t been disconnected, if everything is OK, we raise our head and, turning it 90 degrees, place it on the padded jacket. We take out the left leg from the engine compartment and calmly transfer the head to the workbench and begin disassembly.

    The most common breakdowns of the sixth engine

    Car owners most often encounter the following defects in engine operation:

    1. The internal diameter of the cylinder increases by 0.15 mm after traveling more than 5 thousand km. This defect occurs if the engine lubricant is not replaced in a timely manner.
    2. The camshaft is worn out.
    3. Sound effects in the form of tapping in the engine. This defect can be eliminated by adjusting the valves and replacing the fuel with higher octane fuel. If these measures do not help, then you need to contact the nearest service station, where the pistons and connecting rod bearings will be diagnosed and repaired.
    4. Oil pressure drops. In this case, the lubricant does not reach the rubbing surfaces, as a result of which the friction force increases, causing the gaskets to burn out, accelerated wear of the working parts, and the device becomes unusable.
    5. Creaks indicate a breakdown in the timing chain tensioner, damper or pump bearing.
    6. If the engine stalls while driving, you need to look into the ignition or power systems.
    7. The engine turns off at idle when there is a failure in the idle speed or air damper adjustments.
    8. Engine trouble, with this defect it is necessary to adjust or replace burnt valves and cylinder head gasket. The cause of tripling can also be fuel with a low octane number.

    What does a VAZ engine consist of?

    At its core, the VAZ 2106 engine is a modernized 4-cylinder Troika engine that has received more power. From now on, the car boasts 75 horsepower, which produces a torque of 116 Nm.
