But life goes on, everything changes. Progress does not stand still. So, a new invention has come into the world, an achievement of the 21st century - power steering. What is it, what are its advantages and possible disadvantages, and what is the difference between the electric power steering on a VAZ 2106 and the power steering?

I've been thinking about this for a while. I prepared financially, took rare days off (I was working on a minibus on the city route at the time), and finally began to put the whole thing into my hands. To be honest, this topic is as old as the world, but, nevertheless, I’ll share some of my thoughts, maybe it will work for someone, my dear DRIVE2 helped me out so much at one time! In general, the EUR from a 2007 Priora was taken, broken, during disassembly in my city.
It is important here that it is from Priora, produced in Kaluga, due to the fact that it is gearless. I do not recommend taking Makhachkala from Kalina, because it’s bulky and jams, as I’ve heard, but there are no such problems with this one, there’s simply nothing to jam!
In terms of money, it cost me 8 thousand, I think this is normal, because... a new one in 2022 in our area cost from 16 to 18 thousand. Then, two steering cardan shafts were taken, one Priorov, the other seven, from the seven you will only need “ears”, they should be cut off carefully, showing the place.
The resulting “ears” from the seven shaft should be connected to the Priorov shaft using a cross, and carefully roll it up, not forgetting to check the lubrication inside. This is done so that the remaining section of the original shaft has a universal joint.
This will be the future steering shaft.
