Appearance
For most AvtoVAZ cars, appearance is now the main advantage, and the Granta liftback is no exception. The new body will take almost everything from the regular version, with the exception of the design of the rear, which can be seen even from the photo.
The front part of the car here, like that of the sedan, is completely taken from Vesta. Here you can find a short but slightly inclined muzzle, decorated with a bunch of interesting solutions that the residents of our country liked so much. It all starts with the hood, a large area of which is covered with minor protrusions and indentations. Next is the signature X-shaped bumper, trimmed inside with plastic and with chrome lines around the perimeter. Its upper branches are filled with headlights, which have an almost rectangular shape. They can only illuminate the road with the help of halogens. The optics are connected to each other by an air intake grille consisting of several horizontal stripes and decorated with a chrome Lada company badge.
Below you can find several more bright decorative elements. These include additional air intakes, a small amount of relief, and fog lights installed in the side recesses only in the extended configuration. In general, it all looks very stylish and is simply bound to appeal to both young drivers and adults.
Coriander. Practical and surprisingly elegant

There are no changes observed inside the car either. The new Lada Granta liftback 2022 model year is finished exclusively with simple materials such as fabrics and plastic. Some multimedia equipment is present here only in a rich package. Owners of the basic version will have to be content with only audio preparation, the quality of which also leaves much to be desired.
The center console here takes up a lot of space, although there are practically no parts to customize the car. A third of the entire area is allocated for deflectors. Below them is the main part, on which there can be either a radio tape recorder or a multimedia system monitor. Even lower is a massive panel with washers for adjusting the heater and air conditioning, if provided.

Just before the start of the Moscow Motor Show 2018, AvtoVAZ revealed all the information about the restyled Lada Granta 2018-2019 family. It is represented by models in four body types: sedan, liftback, hatchback and station wagon. At the same time, the last two versions are restyled Lada Kalina - Tolyatti residents decided to abandon this brand and, after modernization, included the cars in the Granta line.
Sales of the updated Grant will start on August 30, at which time full price lists with detailed prices and configurations will be published. However, the base cost of the models has already been named: the cheapest will be the sedan with a price starting from 419,900 rubles, followed by the hatchback and liftback - from 436,900 rubles, and finally, for the station wagon you will have to pay no less than 446,900 rubles. Later, the family will be replenished with the elevated Lada Granta Cross station wagon (a new version of the previous Kalina Cross) and sports modifications of the Granta Sport in sedan and hatchback bodies. In the long term, it is possible that a “warmed-up” liftback with the Sport prefix will enter the market, but so far AvtoVAZ is silent on this matter.

Today they announced prices and the start date of sales of the updated Lada Granta. At the same time, the color scheme of the new product was declassified. New X-face
All representatives of the new Lada Granta line received a unified front design in the style of Vesta and X-ray. In addition to the modernized bumper, radiator grille and headlights, the nose of the Grant acquired a slightly adjusted hood and different shaped wings. At the same time, some other improvements were made - the washer nozzles moved from the surface of the hood to the panel in front of the windshield, and new soft fender liners appeared in the wheel arches, which better absorb the impacts of gravel flying out from under the wheels and also do not absorb moisture.

The stern was more or less seriously transformed only on the Grant sedan. The trunk lid has undergone a thorough alteration here, receiving an accentuated spoiler-stamping and a recess for the license plate (previously the area for the state sign was located on the bumper). Versions in other body types have remained virtually unchanged at the rear, if you do not take into account the adjusted bumper, complemented by a black insert.

Innovations in the interior
The interior of any Grant now has a front panel from Kalina with revised decor of individual elements. Thus, the central rectangular deflectors have an X-shaped design, and the round side deflectors have a chrome edging. Other metamorphoses include changed button backlighting (from green to white), updated dashboard design (the scales now have orange rims, like Vesta’s), and a different pattern of decorative overlays on the panel.

The list of improvements does not end there. All variations of the 2018-2019 Lada Granta have seats with new upholstery and more developed lateral support bolsters. Also, the driver’s seat, albeit only in rich trim levels, is now equipped with a height adjustment mechanism that allows you to raise and lower the seat by 40 mm. The head restraints on the Grant seats have become larger and more comfortable.

In the interior of the Lada Granta liftback, a more solid front panel appeared, which migrated from the Kalina along the way, receiving a number of changes. The new radio with a monochrome display is the head unit of the center console. But the first thing the driver will see is a completely different instrument panel. The tachometer and speedometer are framed by a bright orange dial, and in the middle there is a monochrome on-board computer screen. In principle, it was present before, but now the screen has increased in size and a different backlight has appeared. But that’s not all, because now the driver will feel a new seat with increased lateral support and a function for changing the seat height. Technical characteristics of Lada Granta restyling 2018-2019
The update did not affect the Granta engine range. The model's arsenal includes the same petrol units:
- Eight-valve 1.6 liter (87 hp, 140 Nm);
- Sixteen-valve engine 1.6 liters (98 hp, 145 Nm);
- 1.6 liter engine with output of 106 hp. and 148 hp
The “junior” unit comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, the middle one is equipped with a 4-speed Jatco “automatic”, the “senior” one works in conjunction with either a manual transmission or an AMT robotic gearbox.
If the engines have remained virtually unchanged structurally (the only innovation is a groove on the pistons to minimize damage if the timing belt breaks), then the Tolyatti engineers have done a fair amount of work on the transmission. The first innovation concerns cars with manual transmission and AMT - their main gear ratio has increased from 3.7 to 3.9. This has affected the dynamic characteristics: four-door cars with an 87-horsepower engine now accelerate to 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds (previously 12.2 seconds), sedans with a 106-horsepower unit and a manual transmission in 10.5 seconds (previously 10.9 seconds).
“Robot” AMT received its share of improvements. Now he has a “creeping” mode, which allows the car to move off when the brake pedal is released. The manual transmission is also equipped with “Winter” (start from second gear on snowy roads) and “Sport” (faster gear changes) modes. The clutch of the robotic transmission has become more resistant to wear, and the box itself is now much quieter.
To top it all off, in order to improve handling, the new Granta was given shock absorbers and electric power steering with different settings.
