Speed sensor gazelle next cummins where is it located

Good day everyone!

Over time, when I redid all the more or less major matters, I took up the little things that I had never gotten my hands on before. Just such a “trifle” was the replacement of the driven gear of the speedometer drive in the gearbox. The fact is that the odometer and speedometer underestimated the readings. Through simple calculations, it became clear that the error in the readings is approximately ten percent. By and large, I need an odometer mainly to understand how much fuel is left in the tank after a certain mileage, which is especially important on long trips. Staying at night in the middle of the road somewhere in the Pskov region is not the best prospect, provided that “according to the odometer” you can still drive and drive. The speedometer “underestimated” the readings due to the replacement of a gearbox with a gear ratio of 5.12 to a faster gearbox with a gear ratio of 4.55, even under the previous owner. The procedure itself is extremely simple, which I was surprised by. The G-3302 speedometer drive gear is the same in two cases, which makes disassembling the gearbox unnecessary. Only the driven gear of the speedometer drive is changed. In my case, a gear with 17 teeth, model 3302-3802034, for a gearbox with a gear ratio of 5.12, is replaced with a gear with 15 teeth, model 3302-3802034-10, for gearboxes with a gear ratio of 4.55. From the work, unscrew the speed sensor from the fitting and unscrew the bolt that holds the fork of the speed sensor fitting, replace the gear and reassemble in the reverse order. Voila! Speedometer readings match GPS readings
