The rear has also undergone minor changes. The headlights received a block of direction indicators and reverse alerts in a round rather than rectangular shape. The bumper has been modified and has special ventilation grilles equipped with check valves. The loading area on the bumper has increased, albeit slightly.

Due to its compact dimensions, the interior does not qualify as spacious. This is especially felt in the back row of seats, where it is difficult to fit three adult passengers. In addition, there is clearly not enough legroom.

Another thing is the driver’s seat, where the ergonomics are still thought out competently. The center console is turned towards the driver at a convenient angle. The visibility inside is good due to the use of large windows and a comfortable seating position. These parameters have further improved since February 2014. Then, modern high-comfort seats began to be installed on production Niva models, with slight lateral and lumbar support and head restraints.

You can also note the presence of a three-spoke steering wheel and a lighting unit above the center console. There is also a rear-view mirror fixed to the windshield, whereas on the first models it was attached to the lid. The gearbox and transfer case shift levers have changed relative to the original version. For convenience, the power window control buttons are located on the center console. The luggage compartment holds 320 liters of cargo, and with the rear row of seats folded down, even 650. Despite the impressive volume figures, the trunk is small and holds a minimum of things, and you can completely forget about transporting large cargo.

The only advantage is the absence of a threshold and a wide rear door opening, which greatly facilitates loading and unloading.
