Owners of Lada Priora have to periodically deal with malfunctions of power windows (ESP). In some cases, the problem lies in some small detail that can be easily fixed with your own hands; in other cases, you will have to contact a service center to repair the ESP. We decided to look into the main reasons why power windows do not work.
Flashing the immobilizer
As a rule, Priora is equipped with a standard APS-6 immobilizer. This, as already said, is an optional procedure, but if the budget does not allow you to invest in a security system, you will inevitably have to deal with all this electronic “stuffing”. In addition to the power windows, the immobilizer controls several other systems of the car, even the rear lights. But the main problem is precisely that in the Priora car the immobilizer is structurally combined with the glass unit controller.
Priora lends itself well to tuning. A solution was also found for the immobilizer. During learning, the immobilizer writes its code to a non-volatile area of the ECU memory, which is stored in a disabled state. To disable the immobilizer, you need to clear this memory cell in the ECU.
To do this, you need to disconnect the original wiring connector from the immobilizer. Next, you need to determine the type of ECU. The flashing method will depend on this. If it is a Bosch M1.5.4, you need to open it and install a specially prepared chip with a program for cleaning the ECU EEPROM in place of the standard one and turn on the ignition for a few seconds. For some ECUs, you need to download special programmers from the Internet.
You can order flashing from specialists at reasonable prices
By the way, the Priora immobilizer itself is often prone to malfunctions, and therefore you need to interfere with its operation with extreme caution. On some types of ECUs, it is impossible to do without desoldering the microcircuit and you cannot completely erase the EEPROM. This is where we end
Good luck!
We end here. Good luck!
How to determine the malfunction?
If you notice that there are problems with the wiring of the Priora or one of the devices is not functioning, then you can diagnose the voltage using a multimeter. In particular, you will need to check whether there is voltage in the power circuit connecting the failed device to other devices.
How to do it correctly:
- First you need to switch the tester to voltmeter mode.
- Next, one tester probe is connected to the battery or vehicle body, depending on where the device being diagnosed is located.
- The second probe of the device must be connected to the supply cable in the circuit being diagnosed, but before this the terminals from the device must be removed.
- If, during diagnostics, readings appear on the tester screen, this indicates that there is voltage in the circuit, and accordingly, the tested wires are in good condition.
- Similar actions are performed with the remaining wires that require checking. If you eventually find a point where there is no voltage, then this indicates that the source of the breakdown is located in this section of the circuit. The only thing left to do is just find the cause and get rid of it (the author of the video is the PRO.Garage channel).
If there is no voltage in the circuit at all, you can diagnose a possible short circuit.
To do this, follow these steps:
- First, you need to remove the part that is responsible for the circuit being diagnosed from the fuse block.
- As in the previous case, the multimeter should be activated in voltmeter mode.
- One tester probe should be connected to the safety element connection outputs. Make sure that all other equipment and devices in this circuit are not connected.
- Then move the wire itself a little - if at this moment indicators appear on the display, this indicates that the wire is shorting somewhere. The problem must be solved as quickly as possible - qualified electricians say that in principle it is not worth bringing the electrical circuit to such a state.
A short circuit usually appears in that section of the circuit where the insulation has worn off. This procedure can be carried out with any component of the electrical circuit, as well as with switches. If the diagnostics showed the absence of a short circuit, then there is another test option.
In particular, we are talking about searching for a possible break in the electrical network, the procedure is performed as follows:
- First you need to turn off the power to the on-board network or just one area that you want to check. To do this, either disconnect the terminals from the battery, or simply remove the safety device from its mounting location.
- Now we proceed directly to the test - the tester probes should be connected to the two ends of the electrical circuit section.
- Next, one of the probes should be connected to the car body; you need mass.
- If, at the time of connection, indicators begin to appear on the tester’s display, this indicates that there are no breaks in this section of the electrical circuit. If there are no changes, then we can say with confidence that there is a break in the wiring.
Resynchronization of remote control codes
The ECU transmits data to the Lada Priora remote control via a radio channel and a transponder channel. Problems arise with the radio channel: if you press buttons (send a car signal) outside its coverage area, then after 1000 presses the code is resynchronized: while sending a command in the radio signal area, the electrical package will not perceive the remote control code.
Also, a code error may occur if the battery is discharged: in this case, the ECU will briefly generate a random code that will erase the codes of all remote control chips. In these cases, you will have to enter the remote control data into the electronic control unit again.
A flip key for Lada Priora is, first of all, beautiful. It is pleasant to the touch; all remote control buttons are located on the body. Its undeniable advantage is that it will not damage the fabric during storage, because its blade will be hidden. The blade is attached to it more securely, and it will not loosen the remote control chip.
I read a lot, but didn't find it. My standard immobilizer was disabled. Yesterday I tried in every possible way to start the car with both the red and black keys, in the end I started the car, but now the buttons on the thrown black key do not work, but the car starts with it. I tried to retrain it, but to no avail, from inside the door windows work with the buttons on the door. I pulled out the board, it doesn’t respond, the battery is new
Priora window lift diagram, connection features.
Despite the fact that the window regulators are controlled in the same way as on previous models, the Priora's window regulator circuit is slightly different. The Priora does not have a power window. The window regulators are controlled by the power supply controller. This is done for ease of working with window lifters. To fully open and close the glass, you no longer need to hold the key, just press it briefly. If you hold the button for a while, the glass control will operate until the button is released. The buttons in this case do not switch the circuit, as in previous models, but are a kind of sensors for the electronic unit.
The connection for the power windows on the driver's door is slightly different from the connection on the passenger's door. This is due to the use of a control module for each in the driver's door. When any button on the block is turned on, a corresponding signal is generated, which is transmitted to the power control controller via a wire connecting pin 5 of the driver's door block to pin 5 of block 3 of the double-glazed window control unit. When troubleshooting without using diagnostic equipment, you can check for continuity or a short to ground in the signal wire, as well as the presence of power at the driver's door module.
In addition to the use of electronic units in the Priora window regulator circuit, there is a feature of supplying power to the electric drive. One of the wires is multifunctional and is involved in powering the heating and mirror control, as well as the door lock solenoid. Therefore, this wire can have both plus and minus, depending on which consumer is turned on. The value is controlled by the power supply controller. On the right and left sides of the wire, pins 4 and 6 are separately connected to connector X1, respectively. This property can be used to troubleshoot circuit problems.
Results
The Lada Priora car is reliable and unpretentious. However, the power windows of this model often fail. Perhaps the matter lies in the imperfection of the mechanism, perhaps in the harsh operating conditions of the vehicle. These include low and high temperatures, high intensity of use, problems with CBKE.
If the window regulator breaks down, you need to immediately repair it. Repair work begins with diagnostics, which is carried out using a number of instruments. If diagnostics at home is not possible, then you should contact a car service.
A number of breakdowns can be repaired yourself. Such breakdowns include mechanical malfunctions of the window regulator, for example, a broken motor or a broken cable. Often, the glass lift is unstable due to poorly lubricated surfaces. If the window lifts operate separately, then most likely the problem lies in the electronics. If such problems arise, you should contact a specialist. Self-repair of car electronic systems is impossible.
Of course, electric window lifts are superior to mechanical ones, mainly due to practicality. However, electric lifts fail much more often. For their stable operation, it is necessary to follow the recommendations of the car manufacturer and regularly carry out technical inspections of the vehicle.
Modern window regulators are part of the car's electronics. Manual devices have long been a thing of the past; today, electric designs are used. Despite their convenience and practicality, they are considered less reliable than mechanical ones, which means they fail more often.
Any owner of a Lada Priora may sooner or later notice that the window regulator on his car does not work. Front and rear devices have approximately equal chances of failure. However, if your window regulator stops working, the problem must be corrected, because otherwise you will not be able to open or close the window. Some problems can be solved on your own, and in some cases you will have to contact a service center. Today we’ll talk about why the window regulator on the Lada Priora does not work and how to solve the problem.
Let's understand the scheme
Before you begin diagnosing a power window malfunction, you first need to familiarize yourself with the features of the vehicle's electrical circuit. If you can master it, there will be no special problems with making a diagnosis. To do this, you will have to find the car's owner's manual; there are separate wiring diagrams for the driver, passenger and rear doors. To diagnose a malfunction, you will need to know the location and connection of the following elements:
- Control block;
- central locking;
- turn signals;
- mirrors;
- blocks to the rear wiring harness, as well as to the speaker;
- window lift motor.
All described elements are indicated in the basic diagram. Why is all this needed? So that you do not mix up the connections and avoid confusion with the car’s electronics. Sometimes there are situations in which, for example, an inexperienced car enthusiast connects the right window regulator to the left side and vice versa.
After you understand the circuit, you can proceed directly to identifying the malfunction and fixing it, if you can do it yourself.
Malfunctions requiring repair at a car service center
The cause of window lift failure can be not only mechanical, but also electronic faults. This includes a breakdown of the car’s central electronics unit. If it fails, independent repair of this unit is impossible. A complete diagnosis and troubleshooting is required in a specialized service center.
The thing is that the CBKE has a number of multifunctional wires, which at the same time are responsible for the functioning of the central locking, turn signals, electric heated windows and mirrors. Trying to eliminate the electronic cause of a broken window lift can only make the problem worse.
Repair of electric central locking
Electric central locks on cars are sensitive to temperature changes and high air humidity. At first they start to freeze and after a short time they refuse to work.
Causes of malfunction of the electrical central locking system:
1.Breakage of electrical circuit wires.
Careless actions when dismantling doors or repairing them lead to a break in the electrical wire in the corrugations. It is necessary to “ring” the electrical circuit to find damage
2. Relay failure.
The damaged relay is replaced and the system operates as before.
3. Malfunctions of the control board.
It is being repaired or replaced.
4. Wear of motor gears.
Active use of the central locking system leads to wear and tear on the working elements of the motor. Plastic gears suffer. They wear out as a result of work. They are being replaced.
The central locking system in a car is a useful and convenient feature for the driver. To repair it, you need to understand the structure and principle of operation.

Window control unit - how to connect it yourself?
Installing electric windows on a car can significantly improve interior comfort. The window control unit allows you to control various actuators (most control units support connection to the central locking) from a single remote control. From the article you will learn how the power window control unit works and what malfunctions of this device occur. You will also learn how to install this unit in the car and connect it to the alarm and other electrical devices.
How does a power window work?
The basis of the window regulator is an electric motor, which through various mechanisms raises and lowers the glass. The window regulator has only two operating modes - raising and lowering the glass, which depend on the position of the control button.
Some control units support a closer function, where a single press of the button will lead to full automatic opening or closing of the corresponding window. This function is provided by a time relay installed in the control unit. When the glass is completely closed or open, the limit switch is activated, cutting off the power to the electric motor.
Therefore, the control unit, when you press the button, supplies voltage from the battery to the corresponding window regulator contacts.
How does the power window control unit work?
The control unit is a set of switches (switches) installed in a convenient housing that provide centralized control of the window lifters. Some models have backlighting for one or more buttons. It supplies power to the window motors depending on the position of the control buttons.
There are also power window control units that automatically open or close the window to a certain level. Most of these blocks use the principle of pulse width modulation.
Despite the complex electronic circuit, the operating principle of this unit is similar to simpler devices - pressing the button supplies power to the window lift motor.
It consists of:
- connector;
- printed circuit board;
- button mechanism;
- backlight LEDs.
How to connect the control unit to the on-board network and power windows +
If the control unit and window regulators are produced by the same manufacturer, then their connectors are fully compatible, so it is enough to follow the connection order specified in the installation instructions. This operation is performed after the wiring to the doors, cigarette lighter and alarm has been completely laid. If the manufacturers of the control unit and window regulators differ, a diagram of all devices will be required. It will allow you to determine which connector pins are connected to the corresponding buttons or electric motors.
If for some reason you were unable to obtain a diagram of the control unit or window regulators, contact any auto electrician. We have previously written about how to install electric windows on a VAZ with your own hands. He will open the housing of the control unit and, using the printed circuit board, will draw you a diagram of the device, and will also determine which window contacts are responsible for raising and lowering the glass.
To connect, you will need to insert the corresponding wires into the mating part of the connector and crimp them. Don't forget to install a fuse in the power supply circuit of the control unit. This will avoid short circuits due to installation errors or other problems. If you are installing a new control unit, make sure that the operating current of its switches matches the operating current of the actuators.
Otherwise, you will have to install additional relays to avoid overloading the buttons.
To connect to an alarm system (this is usually done to implement the functions of controlling the central locking and windshield closer), it is necessary to determine the contacts that send a signal to the central locking and windshield closer. Then connect them to the corresponding contacts of the control unit. Having completed the installation, you must first measure the current consumed by the entire system.
Components of the window lift system
What should I do if the right one does not work or both electronic devices fail? The window regulators may break, leaving them unable to lower or raise the windows. It is possible that the electronic device is jamming or sticking, but before you repair and disassemble the system yourself, you need to understand its structure. The unit itself works by controlling electric motors installed in the vehicle doors and designed to raise and lower the windows.
The system itself includes the following components:
- electric motors;
- switches located in the doors;
- wiring;
- glass
General structure of the ED system
Diagram of Priora window regulators, troubleshooting.
How to find a fault in the Priora power window circuit if the passenger door power windows do not work? Failure of the power windows on all doors is unlikely, and the cause of this is probably a malfunction of the electronic power accessories control unit. Faulty electric lift in one of the doors. A very common breakdown, especially on first cars. And this is again due to a malfunction of the unit, and, in particular, with the burnout of the microcircuits that control the operation of the electric drive. Cause. lack of factory diagram. This is also why power windows can be sharp. The block manufacturer has subsequently corrected the defect, but the main problem at this time is still block failure. But from the above, it in no way follows that if the electric windows fail, it is necessary to immediately change the unit. Other, more prosaic faults are also possible.
It is best to start troubleshooting by checking the operation of the door lock on which the elevator does not work. If the lock also does not work, you need to check for the presence of power or negative on the wire from the glass unit control unit, connector X1, pin 4 or 6, depending on which side you are looking for the fault. To do this, connect a test lamp to the car body and turn on the power window in one direction or another. Then connect the test lamp to the positive wire and repeat the operation. It is also necessary to check terminals 1, 5, 11, 13. If the control lamp lights up in all cases, it means that the control unit is working and, most likely, there is a broken wire on the door or a malfunction of the electric drive. drive. To check, you need to remove the door trim and connect a test lamp between the wires going to the electric drive. If the stop lights up when you turn on the elevator, it means the electric drive is faulty, otherwise the wire is broken. If a device fails, the cause must be determined. This may not only be a manufacturing defect, but also a short circuit between the wires or on the housing.
Fuse box of Lada Priora under the hood:
It has 6 fuses F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6.
Fuse F1
supplies control point S2 of the ignition relay, fuel pump relay, ECU, spark plug injector, etc.
The ignition relay and fuel pump relay in Priora are located here:
Fuse F2 supplies test point S4
Fuse F3 supplies test point S1
Fuse F4 and F6 are two power fuses from + Generator to + Battery
Fuse F5 Electric power steering power
And here is the relay block located under the hood:
Electrical defects
If it happens that all four window regulators fail, then the reason must initially be sought in fuse number F31
, which is located in the central power supply control unit. The manufacturer placed the fuse and relay mounting block under the steering rack. So getting there and checking the condition will not be difficult for any driver, even an inexperienced one.
You just need to open the plastic panel under the steering wheel and perform a visual inspection to find the damaged (burnt out) mechanism.
If you have problems opening the rear doors using the control buttons that are located on the door compartments, but the windows are driven by the central control unit, then we begin to look for the reason in a mechanism called the rear window switch. Often the mechanism randomly blocks the current supply, as a result of which the glass does not move.
Diagnostics are carried out
using a tester. If the product does not pass current, then it should be replaced with a working one, since it cannot be repaired. The cost of the device is low, so there will be no big expenses.
Next breakdown option
when one window regulator is faulty and cannot be moved using the central control unit. First of all, we test the mechanism on the corresponding doorway. If there are no complaints about the operation of the relay button, then we look for the cause in the head power supply, otherwise we replace the faulty relay. We finally check the entire system for serviceability.
In addition, a possible breakdown could be trivial mechanical damage to the electrical wire, as people say, it has become frayed. It can be eliminated by twisting or soldering the two ends of the wire, followed by mandatory insulation for safety purposes.
Now, as for the electric motor itself, the cause of the breakdown may be, and, as a rule, it is, significant wear of the commutator brushes
(freezing). Such freezing occurs due to the fact that the part is structurally made of plastic and, due to heating, can be deformed and modified.
The brush becomes motionless or inactive and is not able to perform its functions in full. Another reason why the power window on the Priora does not work. As you can see, you can eliminate the cause of the breakdown yourself, without having the proper experience, everything is quite simple and clear.
If the window regulator does not work, the malfunction can be caused by two reasons - problems in the electrical or mechanical parts. In some cases, the part can be repaired, but in others, all that remains is to remove the non-working window regulator and replace it with a new device. What are the features of electrical and mechanical malfunctions of Lada Priora windows? How to properly replace the mechanism? Let's look at these questions in more detail.
Mechanical problems
Failures in the mechanical part can be detected without ignition. Below are the main malfunctions of this type:
- Recession of the shield.
- Worn gear bearing.
- Worn teeth on the gear of the device.
- The window regulator is jammed due to oxidation of the moving elements.
- Damage to the cable mechanism. During operation, stretching or damage to integrity is possible, which in the future often leads to the cable slipping off the guide rollers.
What is the cause of the problem
Sometimes there is no malfunction as such. For example, window regulators may fail in severe frost, but other electrics also suffer from similar problems. Therefore, experts advise not to save on buying/renting and heating a garage. But mechanical failures are much more common.
If you suspect a breakdown, you first need to check the TsBKE - this is AvtoVAZ’s personal innovation, which operates the electrical package. First you need to make sure the fuse is working. If everything is fine, we disassemble the doors, arm ourselves with a multimeter and measure the voltage at the terminals of the window lift motor. If there is no voltage, then:
- There may be a malfunction of the power window control unit (the button for opening and closing the window located on the door).
- The problem lies in the connection of the wire connectors.
- CBKE refused.
We recommend: Why do car headlights sweat from the inside and what to do about it?
If there is voltage in the network, which is clearly shown by a multimeter or a 12V light bulb, then the problems described above automatically disappear. This means you need to look for the problem elsewhere. Most likely, it lies in the following system nodes:
- The window lift motor is stuck or stuck.
- The window lift cable has already outlived its usefulness and needs to be replaced.
- Distortion of the glass itself, while the rest of the system is in full working order.
All of the above breakdowns occur with approximately equal frequency, with the exception of glass distortion, which occurs much less frequently.
Self-detecting a broken power window can be seriously difficult. First, it is difficult to diagnose a CBCE problem. The device is designed in such a way that one of the cables is multifunctional. It could be:
- X1-4.
- X1-6.
The essence of multifunctionality lies in the fact that some conductors are capable of independently changing polarity if the appropriate command is received from the CBKE. These pairs can simultaneously control side mirrors, central locking, provide power, etc.
Troubleshooting
Minor breakdowns include glass rattling, noise in the window lifter, free movement of glass under mechanical influence (for example, the glass does not rise or fall with the lifter, but the same can be done by hand). Their cause is skewed glass, failure of rollers or cables. If the glass is skewed, it must be adjusted. If the cable is broken, it must be replaced. If the cable comes off the rollers, you need to pull it back and adjust the car window regulator. The occurrence of noise is a sign that the mechanism is poorly lubricated. To eliminate the malfunction, you need to thoroughly lubricate all the power window mechanisms, as well as the glass guides. If the mechanism operates slowly, it should also be lubricated or replaced with a new one. Over time, the speed of lowering and raising the windows decreases due to wear and tear on the window lift motor.
Repair of window motor and components
One of the main reasons for the breakdown of the Priora window lifter may be a breakdown of the motor and wear of the electric window lift cable.
You can replace both the cable and the motor. When replacing the motor, you will need to tighten the cable; this procedure is quite difficult and takes a lot of time and effort. The window lift mechanism can also be purchased assembled, along with the motor. This design was popularly nicknamed “trapezoid” for its characteristic shape. When purchasing a complete mechanism, all that remains is to install it in place of the failed one.

Causes of malfunction
Minor malfunctions or breakdowns can occur for various reasons:
- After an accident. If the blow hit the side door. It can manifest itself either in the incorrect operation of the window regulator or in the complete failure of this unit.
- If exposed to moisture or dampness. Of course, the car door is sufficiently sealed. But in some cases, the electrical components of the power window short out due to condensation or the car being in deep water for a long time.
- Installation of low-quality or defective components.
Let's look at the most common problems.
Electrical faults
Electrical faults are the simplest because they are the easiest to fix. Electrical failures can occur due to:
- Poor contact on the opening control button/relay. Most often this is observed when there is insufficient contact in the switching device. Oxidized or erased power pads on the board do not conduct current in the circuit. The window regulator begins to twitch or fails altogether.
- Wire shorts. The door has moving elements. The wiring in these places may fray or break. The power goes out and the glass stops going up and down.
- Fuse blown. If there is a sudden jump in the car's circuit, the fuse located in the window regulator circuit may burn out.
- Motor/gearbox malfunction. There can be many reasons for this: from burnout and sticking of the brushes, to oxidation of the contact group on the motor.
For any type of malfunction, it is worth carrying out diagnostics at a specialized service station. But first you should check the power window fuses. Most often, the cause of the breakdown lies in this place.
Mechanical defects of the mechanism
Mechanical defects occur much more often than electrical ones. They can also cause the window regulator to break. The most common mechanical failures:
- Broken cable. A rare malfunction. With such a defect, the glass “falls” into the door frame and does not rise from the button.
- Bent arms or guides. In this case, the work jams or the button is completely ignored.
- Reducer gear failure. Modern cars are often equipped with plastic gears that quickly wear out, crack or crumble. The teeth begin to slip. The glass jerks or rises jerkily.
- Sticking or jamming of the mechanism due to lack of lubrication. A common “sore” on old cars. The resource of mechanics is not infinite; it also requires careful treatment and timely maintenance. Over the years of operation, machine lubricant on moving parts dries out. The parts begin to rub against each other and jam together.
The listed defects can only be repaired on a disassembled door. In this case, you will need to purchase additional damaged or broken components.
Other causes of power window failure
Sometimes the glass stops opening normally for reasons that are unclear at first glance. This may happen due to:
- Severe frost. Condensation forms in a warm interior. At night the car cools down, and in frosty weather the accumulated moisture forms ice where the glass meets the door. An ice crust may also form inside the lifting mechanism. All this leads to difficulties in the operation of the window regulators.
- A foreign object gets into the gap between the glass and the door. In this case, the window regulator becomes stuck.
In 80% of cases, any mechanical or electrical malfunction is eliminated with a disassembled door.
Notes on implementation of schemes
Let us immediately note: if there are no window lifters, the second diagram will not contain parts K2/K3. Then you only need to cut one wire. Sometimes only the rear windows are missing. This means that relay K3 is excluded. And the diodes connected in parallel with the winding can be absolutely anything.
Now we list the requirements for an element called “relay”:
- Operation voltage – 12 Volts;
- Switching current – 10 A or higher;
- The current consumed by all relay windings should not exceed the value specified in the instructions for the signaling. Usually it is 200-300 mA.
It is the last requirement that is often violated.
In order for “scheme 2” to work, it is necessary not only to assemble it, but also to program the main unit: you need to enable the “2-step unlocking” option. And be that as it may, control impulses cannot be made too long. Use values of 0.7-1.1 seconds.
Why doesn't the power window work on the Lada Priora? How to remove and install a new window regulator?
Electrical faults
In a situation where the window regulator on a Lada Priora car does not work, the cause may be a malfunction in the electrical part, namely:
- Fuse F31 has blown. This is where you should start checking in the event of a mechanism failure. The fuse link is located in the power control mounting block. If an element burns out due to a short circuit, replace it. At the same time, make sure that the wiring is intact.
- Faulty motor brushes of the electric drive (they may stick or freeze). A similar problem is possible if the graphite brushes overheat. As a result, the plastic socket in which they are installed melts. The shields “stick” to the hole and stop moving.
- The voltage at the input to the electric motor has disappeared. If the window regulator does not work, one of the reasons is a break in the supply circuit. Look for such a breakdown of the Priora in the control unit or in the relay. It will be useful to clean the contact group.
At the end of the article, watch a selection of videos.
If the mechanism itself breaks down, it needs to be replaced.
Features of power windows on the Lada Priora
Like many other cars, the Lada Priora has sliding windows on the front and rear doors. They are moved up and down using power windows, which are controlled using a button on the door. The driver of the car controls the movement of all windows, and the passenger controls only his own.
Possible breakdowns
The window regulator on the Priora does not work and this is due to a number of reasons, the essence of which we will look into in detail. So, a passenger car VAZ-2170 Priora can be equipped by the manufacturer with electric windows for:
- Two front doors
. As a rule, the two rear doors are equipped with manual rack-and-pinion lifts (window lifters are installed separately on them); - On all four doors.
Depending on the type, devices of the cable and rack operating principle are distinguished. By type, there are faults associated with the electrical and mechanical parts.
The most common mechanical failures include:
- “Licking” of teeth on the gear of the lifting mechanism;
- Defects in the cable mechanism that led to its damage or excessive stretching, which subsequently causes it to jump off the guide rollers.
As we see, there are few mechanical reasons and they are extremely rare.
