How to replace the battery in a Ford Focus 2 switch key
Using a flat-head screwdriver, carefully separate the key into 2 parts as shown in the photo.

Switchblade key
We throw away the mechanical key. At the side end of the key fob body, under its seat (key), we find a hole.

We insert a small screwdriver into it and turn it counterclockwise until a wide gap forms between the two halves of the key fob. This is about three turns of a screwdriver.

Use the tip of a knife to pry up the battery and remove it. We install a new one in its place, observing the polarity, and press until it clicks. We close, snap the cover of the electronic part and put in place the block with a folding mechanical key.
Important! During the battery replacement process, we take care not to damage or lose the spring contact tabs that connect the positive batteries to the electronic board.

Problems after replacing the battery
Sometimes after replacing the battery in the key, the car “does not see” the key. This means that the program has gone wrong and the key needs to be reprogrammed. It's not difficult to do this.
We turn the ignition switch to position - 2 short stops four times. Next, set it to position - 0 and wait for the sound signal.
The signal will sound for about 10 seconds, after which you can program the key. To do this, you need to press any button on the key.

Now to install the new link you need to remove the plastic guard from the top of the grille, it is attached to 6 clips, we screw in a screwdriver, get them and then pull the clip out.
For convenience, you can still remove the radiator grill yourself; to do this, after we have the clamps, pull the grill towards you to get off the latches. We remove, install the linkage, check the ignition key. everything is working.
Another small note: the hinges of the purchased rod do not rotate properly in the cylinder and lock antennas, the rod flies when the ignition key is turned, so I flip the hinges from my own rod, since they are already designed for dozens or even hundreds of hood holes.
By the way, as I said, Ford does not sell the pull rod separately, but only with the lock lock number 1355231, at the moment it costs R3,000 per name, since I ask the Exist player that I don’t even want to look.
