The primary conclusion whether the fuel pump is working or not can be assessed by ear when the ignition is turned on. If you don’t hear a quiet buzzing noise from behind, then you need to check the voltage supply to the gas tank block and then draw a conclusion about its malfunction.
You can check the serviceability of the fuel pump using the MTL-2 pressure gauge; this is the most correct way. You can somewhat roughly estimate the pressure using air pressure gauges to check tire pressure. To do this, screw a rubber hose to the sensor and connect it to the fuel system.
You can do without instruments at all; to do this, unscrew the fuel hose from the filter, place a container and turn on the ignition. In one minute, about 1 liter should be poured into the container.
The pressure of the VAZ 2107 injector fuel pump when the ignition is on should be 4.0 atmospheres, and when the ignition is running 2.8-3.2. In reality, the pump pressure is different and was slightly less, but this may be an error in the pressure gauge.
The carburetor pump is checked by setting the camshaft position by cranking the engine so as to ensure free movement of the pump foot. The hose is unscrewed from the carburetor or filter and the presence of fuel supply is determined by pressing the foot.
Fine cleaning
Or, in other words, a sump. Designed to clean fuel from the smallest debris and water impurities by overflowing from one container cavity to another through paper or other filler.

The fine filter is located in cars with an ECM, as a rule, under the bottom near the fuel tank, less often under the hood. In Russian cars it can be divided as follows:

How to replace a VAZ injector fuel pump
To replace the fuel pump on an injection vase you will need:
- key to 10;
- 2 keys for 17;
- key to 7;
- crosshead screwdriver;
- a simple screwdriver.
I recommend removing the gas tank mount for ease of repair work. To remove the fuel pump you need:
- disconnect the pressure relief pipes in the gas tank;
- Unscrew the main pipelines using 2 17mm wrenches;
- remove the gasket from the gas tank neck;
- unscrew the tank mount;
- move the tank to the side;
- remove the power and fuel level block;
- unscrew the fuel pump flange;
- remove the fuel pump filter;
- remove the tube from the pump after heating it;
- We take out the old pump and install a new one.
When installing the filter, do not hesitate to give it a good tap, otherwise it may fall off like mine. The fuel pump mesh on the VAZ injector is replaced if the old one is dirty or torn. Its replacement is carried out in the same way. Usually it is sold complete with a fuel pump; if not, you will have to buy it, the price is 25 rubles.
Reassemble in reverse order. We heat the hose again in boiling water; if the mounting location of the old electric fuel pump does not allow the part to be properly secured, then we cut it off.
Check the integrity of the gasket between the flange and the gas tank; if it is torn, there will be a smell of gasoline in the cabin.
Important. When choosing, pay attention to performance and maximum pressure. I had Bosch 0 580 454 456 and replaced it with a close analogue of FR 453-453 from WEBER.

Fuel filter location
On injection VAZ 2107, the fuel filter is located in the engine compartment. It is fixed using a clamp with a coupling bolt on the bracket.

Purpose

Accordingly, protection by fuel filters is much stronger. Another feature of the fuel system of “injection” cars is that the pump is located either directly in the tank or right next to it. Now almost 100% of cars have a pump inside the fuel tank. The filter on them is made of plastic and is attached directly to the pump. Can't be cleaned or washed. These filters are only replaced. The replacement scheme is approximately the same for all models. Even with different forms of the fuel filter itself.
Design

In this case, engine malfunctions may be partially similar to some of the symptoms mentioned above. For example, a slight ingress of air into the fuel system results in the engine not starting for a long time after parking.
Let's go back to the fuel pump. Its malfunction means that the performance of the fuel supply system is reduced. If the fuel pump breaks down, then the car becomes unsuitable for normal use. Signs of a fuel pump malfunction are as follows:
- It is impossible to start the engine, the fuel pump does not pump;
- the engine starts, but runs with serious interruptions;
Examination
Checking the fuel pump is quite simple, since the fuel tank in the 2107 is easily accessible and access to the fuel pump glass is very convenient, checking the fuel pump will not be difficult.

The pressure in the system should be from 2.7 to 3.3 bar, if less the fuel pump needs to be changed. It should also be noted that the culprit of low pressure may be the RTD.

Breakdowns that may occur when using a gasoline pump

- The output of the rod is determined by a caliper. If it does not reach 0.8 millimeters, then you need to install a thinner gasket. The normal value of the rod output is considered to be from 0.8 to 1.3 millimeters. If the value becomes too large, then the gasket needs to be thicker.

- First, whatever you are repairing, clean the area. Taking into account that the VAZ 2107 fuel pump is installed under the hood, you need to remove the engine surface. To do this, wipe with a cloth or apply to the cylinder block, and, of course, the pump itself. Often these surfaces are formed from large amounts of dust compressed by gasoline and oil. Use white spirit or something similar to cleanse it;
- Find two 8mm diameter bolts in advance, which you will need as ribbon cables at the ends of the hoses, because when you remove them, fuel leaks out of their holes;
- Now in front of you you see two hoses, one of which is coming, and the second is going. They are secured at the edges with clamps, which must be loosened with a screwdriver or a special clamping wrench. After this, remove the clamps from the fittings and disconnect the petrol injector;
- The fuel pump is securely attached to the cylinder block; to remove it from the mount, unscrew the two standard nuts using a regular 13-wrench;
- Once you unscrew these nuts, you will see that the pump has already been removed. There is a gasket between the gasket and the gasoline pump itself that wears out over time, so it is best to replace it;
- Then, after dismantling the gasoline pump, you will notice a special gasket that protects it from high temperatures. It must also be free of dirt. Between this gasket and the cylinder block there is also a gasket similar to the previous one, so do not be lazy and replace it.
