Stage No. 1: dismantling the card.

- Open the rear left door and raise the glass to the top position.

After the work has been done, the main task is solved - adjusting the lock.
Often, a door has difficulty opening or closing when the seal is too tight against the doorway and the locking hinge is not installed correctly. To correct the situation, you need an impact screwdriver. The loop, which is located on the body, is loosened and moved in the required direction, after which it is tightened a little. Then you need to work with the lock - as improvements appear, similar actions continue.
The process of moving the hinge away from the lock can negatively affect the gap between the body and the door. When it begins to protrude outward, a strong and soft gasket is placed between the post in the center and the doorway, located in the area of the door hinges, and they simulate closing. Below we will try to take a more detailed look at the central locking unit and its control unit, their relationship with the remote control, symptoms of a malfunction of this part, and also provide instructions for replacing it yourself.
Now let's look in more detail at remote control, which is intended not only for locking and unlocking car doors at a distance with synchronous activation of the security mode. In addition, it allows you to lock all locks with one turn of the key, lock and unlock all door locks by pressing one button located inside the cabin, and also turn on and off the car alarm both remotely and with the key.
Operating modes
Door locks on Grants are blocked by pressing the corresponding key on the remote control, after which they can be unlocked using the remote control in stepwise and simultaneous unlocking modes. The first of the listed modes will allow you to unlock all door locks by double pressing the key (first the driver's door is unlocked, and then all other doors). When you activate the second mode, you can unlock all the doors of the car at the same time, with one click.
To change the mode, the car owner will need to perform the following steps:
- first you need to turn on the ignition with the remote control key;
- then you will need to press and hold the unlock and lock keys in this position for five seconds;
- After the buzzer sounds, release the keys.
Blocking
If, after unlocking the door locks, you do not open the trunk or one of the doors, or do not turn on the ignition, then after twenty-five seconds all doors will be locked again.
Control from the cabin
When blocking doors directly from inside the car, you need to press the corresponding button located on the driver's door, or press a similar button in the module of the same door. Unlocking will require lifting the desired key on the door or pressing it in the module. To lock the doors from the outside, you will need to turn the key in the lock located on the driver's door clockwise, and to unlock the doors, turn the key in the opposite direction.
Adjusting the gap between the bumper and the trunk lid
1. For this purpose, you can use plasticine in the area where two surfaces come into contact. We make a small ball and glue it to where the bumper and the cover meet.
2. Next, close the trunk lid according to the manual: we lower the lid freely from a height of no more than 20 cm.
3. The gap is adjusted by moving the trunk lid lock latch. Upon completion of the adjustment, the position of the buffer and trunk lid are adjusted.
If the hood comes back
In the case when the hood opens backwards, the situation becomes quite complicated. The most obvious and easiest way to open such a hood is to get to the lock mechanism through the air intake openings. Naturally, they must first be protected from scratches and chips with electrical tape, or the working tool must be wrapped with it. If the air intake grilles are removable, the best solution is to remove them (if possible). This way you can have excellent access to the lock and open it quickly.
Way out
What to do if the car door does not open from the inside or outside? In fact, there are not so many solutions.
- Call a qualified service technician to open the door or lock. Considering current prices, just one call will cost the owner half the average salary. So it's not fun for everyone. This service can only be used in extreme situations;
- Remove the door hinges and unscrew the lock fastening: this option is more suitable when the front doors are jammed. The bottom line is this: if the door cannot be opened either from the outside or from the inside, then you need to use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two hinges of the rear door that follows the “problem” door. In this way we will provide access to the rear wall of the lock mount. Here it’s a matter of chance, you can unscrew two bolts the first time, or spend 10-15 minutes doing this. After unscrewing the bolts, disconnect the rear wall of the door lock from the body. All that remains is to make an effort to pull back the door, and everything is ready;
