After this, you need to find the wire from the starter; you remove it from the total mass. We wrap the remaining wires together, and you have ensured that the ignition works. By lightly touching the starting wire to this entire group of wires, the engine starts.

For the first method, you will need about half a meter of thin steel (1-2 millimeters) wire. Make a rounded hook at one end of the segment and bend it at the other so that the improvised tool does not accidentally fall into the empty space of the door. Next, do this:
- pull out the glass seal located at its base from the driver’s seat;
- Insert the hook into the opened slot;
- carefully move it under the lock drive;
- hook and pull up;

If you have a metal ruler, that will also work (we don’t recommend using a plastic one - it will most likely break). First of all, remove the seal. Now insert the plate strictly into the center of the glass - it should ideally rest against the lock rod. Disabling the immobilizer
Before bypassing the immobilizer on Kalina and other AvtoVAZ creations, it is better, of course, to consult with a specialist, but if your knowledge of electronics allows, then you can save money on this procedure. In addition to the necessary knowledge, you will need:
- knob;
- universal joint;
- crosshead screwdriver;
- extension;
- figured bat.
Armed with everything you need, unscrew the battery and remove the protection from the dashboard. The capricious immobilizer will be located behind the heating controls, not far from the radio. Externally, the device looks discreet, like a small black box measuring 5x10 cm. After that, the hardest part begins.
To remove the treasured black box, you need to unscrew the bolts that connect the device to the control panel. Before this, you need to turn off the power supply from the APS; to do this, pull out the plug and hold it with a special lock. Don't forget to reactivate the diagnostic line after the immobilizer has been removed. Disabling the Priora or Kalina immobilizer is completed, now we need to configure the APS.
The most important thing at this stage is to completely delete all information that was left in the ECU (volatile memory) unit. This will be more difficult to do, since the immobilizer will most likely be equipped with an EEPROM system, which is responsible for storing data. There are two ways to solve this problem:
- You can modify the control unit by resoldering the chip resistor. To do this, you need to connect the unit to a PC and use a special pack-loader to read the firmware. After this, it is enough to install new EEPROM firmware and solder the chip in its rightful place.
- You don’t have to remove the chip and use the Combiset program, which works on the same principle as EEPROM.
In some immobilizer models, “tricky” EEPROMs are installed, from which it is impossible to delete all information, and unnecessary “tails” will not lead to anything good. How to disable the Priora immobilizer in this case? Yes, very simple, edit the dump file. To do this, you need to replace its bytes and enter the combination FF instead of 2-7 digits.
In order to open the ECU from the immobilizer, you need to remove the standard wiring connector and count contacts 9 and 18 in it (there are 20 in total). These wires must be bundled and insulated.
The matter remains small. We connect all the connectors to the control unit and put it back. We install the console and start the engine without any problems. Ready!
Dealing with the wires
It is necessary to remove the plastic protection from the steering column to gain access to the wires of the contact group. Your focus will be on the wires that are connected to the ignition switch. They are often divided into three groups:
- the power supply to the lock is the wire that comes from the battery;
- power distribution across the main vehicle systems;
- supplying power to the starter.
Also among this bundle of wires there will definitely be a grounding wire, which we are looking for first. This wire is the only black color. If your car uses an alternative electrical wiring diagram, the ground wire will be green.
Next we go in search of the power wire. Often it has a yellow or red color - the brightest and most voluminous wire of the entire contact group. To be sure of the correct choice of wires, it would be great to use a multitester or a regular light bulb. If power wires , then you can start the car only by tying them all into one bundle.
The most difficult process is finding the wire that supplies power to the starter. There is only one way to do this: check each wire one by one. It is necessary to connect the remaining wires with power and look at the result. One will turn on the lights, the other will trigger the alarm, and so on. This will take you to the starter wire, which needs to be marked somehow. Next comes the most crucial moment.
Ignition switch malfunctions
The ignition switch on a VAZ 2110 must be replaced if its operation cannot be restored in any way or the key is broken/lost. In other cases, they are usually repaired.
There are two groups of main breakdowns:
- The mechanics are faulty . The most common problem is the breakage of the larva. The keys are made of soft metal, so they are unreliable and can often simply break off. There is also a problem with the steering wheel locking or the key may simply get stuck when in the on position.
