By gently hitting the spacer with a hammer and simultaneously applying pressure on the steering wheel with your knees from the back, we knock the steering wheel off the dead center. The steering wheel will not pop out of the splines because the nut is not completely unscrewed.

When the steering wheel gives way, you can completely unscrew the nut.

We bend the cable clamps and move the wires to the side.

It is imperative to put marks on the end of the steering column and on the steering wheel frame , so that later you can install it strictly in the position in which it was installed. It’s better to put marks with a marker ; if you don’t have one, scratch or mark the steering wheel and column, but doing this is extremely undesirable. Better marker.
