Replacing the belt tensioner

The replacement is simple. You can change it from above, through the engine compartment. So they change it to a hundred. But if you decide to do everything yourself, without experience it is better to do it from below the car. First you need to remove the right plastic protection.

Tensioner roller

When the bearing in the roller wears out, you will not hear a whistling noise. Severe wear reveals itself as increased noise when the motor is running.

Exactly the same noise can be made by the bearing of the generator, power steering and idler roller. The air conditioner pump and compressor sound a little different.

You can try to determine the source of the noise yourself. To do this, just remove the belt. How to do this is described above. When the belt is removed, all pulleys are accessible. Now you can twist and swing them. A serviceable bearing spins quietly, a worn one makes rustling and noise. There should also not be much play.

If the bearing on the roller is worn out, then unscrew it clockwise, the thread is reversed!

To prevent the mixture from leaking out of the rotating units, lithium hydroxystearate was used. The thick consistency allows the product to be securely held inside the bearing.

Thanks to its thoughtful composition, the product well protects metal elements from corrosion, as well as wear during translational or oscillatory movements. The optimal application is bearings and hubs on truck chassis. But this lubricant will leak if the metal temperature rises above 130 degrees. Therefore, regular monitoring and refilling of the product is required.

This composition allows it to be used in bearings of industrial equipment, agricultural machinery and cars, which are operated in conditions of increased humidity.

Manufacturers were able to achieve record temperature values ​​for this product, ranging from -150 to +1200 degrees. The black-gray substance can easily become lodged in the bearing.
