Kia Ceed 1 ED, 2 JD (since 2012) and 3 CD generations, their restyled modifications, both station wagon and hatchback, are one of the most popular models on the domestic market. This is a modern car with a lot of electronics. The list of relays and fuses for Kia Sid should be well known to car owners, because the stable operation of the system depends on them. The fusible elements are distributed between two mounting blocks. One of them occupies the left end of the dashboard, and the second takes place in the engine compartment. For a long time, the design of these blocks remained unchanged, not counting individual improvements in 2014 and 2017.
Kia Sid fuse diagram
The first generation Ceed ED station wagon hit the domestic market in 2007 and since then, car enthusiasts have begun to become acquainted with the peculiarities of the location of mounting blocks in this car. The second generation of Kiya was released in 2013, and in 2022 the third CD was released.
The layout of the mounting blocks remained unchanged until the latest modification, although the first additions were made in 2015 and 2016. The detailed layout of the relay and inserts can be found in the user manual in Russian, including the explanation on the cover of the engine compartment module. Installer in the showroom.

Kia Sid: cigarette lighter fuse
The protective element in the 2008 modification has the number 13 and a rating of 15 A. But in the SID 2022 its number is already 46 and the power is 20 A.
LED heater fuse
Since 2010, element 12 with a nominal value of 10 A has been responsible. It is located in the engine compartment block.
Starter fuse and relay
The retractor often requires replacement or repair. If the car does not start, the reason lies in it, since the starter does not turn without it. It’s worth considering intervention if you hear something clicking when you start the car. You can find this element directly on the side of the starter, under the hood of the car. The fuse is also located there.
The average price for a part, if you need a new one, ranges from 1500-2000 rubles.
Kia Ceed fuel pump fuse and relay
Number 16 and is located in the engine compartment. There is also a relay located there, marked R4.
Radio tape recorder
So that the driver can listen to music, the Sid manufacturer installs an audio system, the protection of the electrical circuits of which is provided by fuse 18, supplied since 2012, in the interior mounting block. Its nominal value is 15 A.
Windshield washer
The front wiper circuit is protected by a seventh 25 Amp cabin fuse. Relay R10 is responsible for its operation.
Washer does not work
The Ceed chain is protected by fuses 7 and 8 for the front and rear washer. If one of them does not work, then most likely the fuse element responsible for it has burned out and requires replacement.
Cooling Fan
Two relays are responsible for the operation - R1 and R2, for low and high rotation speeds. But there is only one fuse - the fifth in the engine compartment, for 40 Amperes.
Dimensions
The right and left are protected by inserts 30 and 31 of the interior block. They are rated at 10 A.
Low and high beam
No. 31 and 32 under the hood. And the power of both is 10 A. The fuse element of the high beam lamps can be found in the cabin unit, where it is marked as 6 and has the same rating as the previous ones.
Number plate illumination
The factory configuration does not include the element responsible for it.
Wipers
For the normal operation of the windshield wipers in the Ceed, there are 2 fuses located in the interior mounting block: the seventh for the front and the eighth for the rear. The rating of the first is 25, and the second is 15 Amperes.
Where is the turn signal relay located?
Absent.
Fog light fuse
Sid's are divided into different mounting blocks. If the right and left front PTFs are protected by element 11 in the block under the hood, then the tenth interior module is responsible for the rear ones. The power of the first is 15 A, and the second is 10 A.
Brake light fuse
To protect it, the LED uses a 16 by 15 Ampere element in the interior mounting block.
Generator fuse
The voltage regulator can be found on the device to which they are attached with screws.
Window lifter
Fuse element 22 in the cabin block is responsible for it. Its rating is 25 Amps.
central locking
It is protected by fuse 26 in the engine compartment, which is rated at 30 Amps.
DRL
The high beam of the Ceed is controlled by fuse 33 in the engine compartment block. Rated for 20 A.
DRL OFF fuse is on
Responsible for the DRL and connected to the steering wheel light switch. Frequent failure symbolizes insufficient power or problems in the wiring. A 15A fuse is required.
Reverse
Fuse element number 30 of the block under the hood, rated 10 Amperes, is responsible for the reversing light.
USB
№30.
Relay blocks under the dashboard
The relays in the Kia Ceed 1 interior are located in two additional blocks. The first is mounted under the dashboard, in the upper part to the left of the instrument panel. The second is in a niche with Kia Sid interior protective elements.
The relay part of the first Kia Ceed I mounting block includes the following electrical circuits:
- heating complex;
- trunk lock;
- backlight;
- window lift drive.
The second Kia Ceed I unit with a relay part provides operation:
- central lock;
- sound warning of anti-theft system;
- heated windshield;
- built-in-ICM;
- rear fog lights.

Block in the cabin
It is located under the instrument panel on the driver's side, behind the protective cover.
On the reverse side of which the actual purpose will be printed in the form of a diagram.

Checking the electrical circuit
To check the electrical circuit Kia Sid, the following methods are used:
- Finding the location of the short circuit is done using a multimeter or an indicator light. The devices are installed in the same place as the removed fuse . In this case, there will be no voltage. Next you will need to run the wiring harness. If you observe a blinking lamp or voltage surges, you should look for a damaged conductor. Most likely, the insulation on it is broken, which leads to a short circuit to the car body.
- Checking the reliability of the contact connection with ground - with the battery disconnected, the indicator lamp is set to a known good ground. In this case, the second contact of the lamp is connected to the electrical circuit being tested. If the lamp lights up, there are no problems with the contact and vice versa.
- Checking the continuity of the circuit - operations are performed after de-energizing the on-board network of the Kia Ceed I. Next, an indicator light with an external power source is used. To test an individual conductor, you will need to connect the ends of the lamp at the beginning and end of the wire. The absence of light from the lamp indicates a break. In the same way, the on position of the switch is checked, but the ends of the lamp are installed on the corresponding contacts.

I will give you a possible reason why the old air flow meter failed. It costs second generation HBO, which is undesirable on engineering engines. I think that a bang hit the intake and the flow meter was torn apart... If so, then this new flow meter will not last long with this 2nd generation LPG. Apparently there isn’t even a firecracker in front of the throttle...

thank you very much for two weeks, it’s been soaring, it starts up, then it doesn’t, I tried everything, there was air in the pipes and the airy system and I put the return line directly from the pump, all this is nonsense, kengo works even with air, but I didn’t pay attention to the light bulb, I thought it went out when I started the engine, I pulled the fuse and aleluya it started but there is also a battery in the key and it came from here and the instability preliminary diagnostics over the phone was terrible or the fuel pump or injectors or brains but not a word about immo or they don’t know or????

Removal and replacement process
To replace fuses you will need:
- Phillips screwdriver;
- tweezers (fixed in the engine compartment);
- fixed key: 10 mm.
Under the hood
The procedure is as follows:
- Turn off the ignition and stop the car.
- Remove the terminal from the “-” pole of the battery.
- Open the unit cover by pressing the latch on the side of the left headlight.
- Remove the tweezers from the lid.
- Pull out the blown fuse with tweezers. If it is necessary to replace the fuses protecting the alternator and electric power steering circuits (No. 9 and 10), unscrew the 2 mounting screws with a Phillips screwdriver and remove them.
- Install replacement or new parts.
- Close the block and install the terminal.
Rules for replacing fuse links
When changing fuses for Kia Sid 1st generation, the cause of failure of the protective element is first eliminated. To remove a faulty device with a fuse link, special plastic pliers are used. When installing a new fuse, be sure to use one that is identical in current. The installation of jumpers and homemade fuse links is also strictly prohibited. , there is a high probability of damage to the electrical circuit, even leading to a fire in the Kia Ceed I.
What else should you pay attention to?
Most often, clogging or freezing of the liquid occurs in the lines supplying it to the nozzles. Sometimes, due to driver forgetfulness, the washer reservoir is empty. Problems are created by the use of “counterfeit” antifreeze or ordinary water. In some cases, the use of two different types of liquids leads to precipitation, which easily clogs the main pipes and nozzles.
If this happens on your Kia Sid car, the system should be thoroughly rinsed, blown with compressed air, and the fluid replaced with a high-quality one. Fluid used out of season must be changed, otherwise it may freeze. If this happens, the system needs to be warmed up. To do this, the car must be placed in a warm place. This could be a heated garage, underground parking, or other similar places.
