Niva 2131 is a restyling of the 2121 model. Mainly the car body has undergone changes. It became five-door to provide more comfortable entry for passengers. At the same time, the useful volume of the trunk has increased. All this led to a change in dimensions. The length of the car increased to 4240 mm, while the width remained the same - 1680 mm. Because of this, the wheelbase had to be increased. It is now wider than the width of the car to ensure stability when cornering.
Niva 2131 is all-wheel drive and was created specifically for off-road driving. Therefore, the ground clearance has been increased to 228 mm. This is necessary to overcome bumps and unevenness.
The Niva's trunk volume is now 420 liters with the seats folded down. The maximum useful volume is 780 liters. The total weight of the car is 1350 kilograms. In this case, the car can additionally transport up to 500 kg of cargo.

- Any steel sooner or later oxidizes, which means rust forms inside the container. Its entry into the vehicle's fuel system is not permissible. Therefore, steel gas tanks must be periodically cleaned of rust, suspended matter and other foreign matter.
A special feature of the Chevrolet Niva gas tank is its shape . It is located at the bottom of the car and has a stamping in the body for the driveshaft channel, which divides the gas tank into 2 reservoirs with partial communication with each other. This modification is worth talking about separately. It was released in 2015. However, there is no need to talk about a full replacement of the model. This is most likely a restyling of the old Niva.
Externally, the car began to look nicer thanks to a larger plastic bumper and a modern radiator grille. The shape of the mirrors has changed. As standard, the car began to be equipped with alloy wheels. There are not many changes in the interior. The instrument panel now stands at “ten”, the door cards have changed. It must be said that the new five-door Niva received a good set of options. These include electric windows, heated seats and mirrors. And in more expensive versions there is air conditioning. But there is still no music, which is frustrating. In technical terms, changes are minimal. It still has the same fuel-injected 1.7-liter engine. The dynamic and performance characteristics are the same as those of the previous Niva.

Since the start of production of the car, its appearance has remained virtually unchanged. In modern vehicle design, a square body shape, round headlights, and laconic bumpers are a classic option.
