Just 2 months ago, sales of a new product from the domestic automobile industry—the LADA VESTA Cross SW station wagon—started, but the car has already gained real popularity in Russia. On the contrary, in the dark or on a cloudy day, Vesta in Carthage color looks strict and practical. I would like to compare this color option with the mood - in good weather it is bright and playful, in cloudy weather it is strict and serious.
By the way, the color Carthage Lada Vesta Cross SV is one of the most expensive. If you want Vesta in this color, you will have to pay an additional 18,000 rubles on top of everything else. I can’t say whether it’s expensive or not, since this is everyone’s business. I probably wouldn't pay more for this paint option and would buy the station wagon in a different color.

The cathophoresis procedure is carried out in a galvanic bath. The car body is placed in the primer solution. Metal parts of the car are connected to the negative pole of a direct or alternating current source, as a result of which anions, ions with a negative charge, are formed on their surface. In the primer solution, under the influence of the positive pole, positive phosphate ions are formed. Due to ionic attraction, adhesion of anions and cations occurs.
After completing the process of applying the protective film, the body is rinsed in washing chambers and kept in drying chambers.
In the painting chamber, a robotic complex paints the car body using the spraying method. It is then placed in a drying chamber.
Before being sent to the conveyor, each product undergoes a control inspection for defects, which are corrected manually.

The technological process of painting a body includes two main stages: priming and painting.

Phosphoric acid forms salts with iron and zinc, which is used in phosphating surfaces.
Phosphates do not combine with oxygen, so they are not destroyed under the influence of water, atmospheric air and aggressive environments, and can withstand temperature changes from -75 to 500 degrees.
Priming includes several stages:
- preparatory;
- working;
- final one.
At the first stage, the surface is cleaned of traces of corrosion, degreased, washed and dried. For this purpose, sandblasting machines, pickling, washing and drying chambers are used.
The process of applying primer is carried out using the electrochemical method in a galvanic bath. Metal parts of the body are anodes due to the supply of a negative charge to them from a direct or alternating current source. The primer solution has a positive charge.
In paint booths, the enamel layer is first applied by spraying. Then it is dried and a varnish layer is applied. After which the parts are dried again and subject to control inspection. All identified defects are eliminated manually. These may be smudges or unpainted paint.
Touch-up painting and sanding are the main operations when transferring the body for assembly. Adhesion with enamel paints provides a durable coating, which is guaranteed by the manufacturer for 72 months.

This year, VAZ engineers also presented a new model LAda Vesta CNG. A distinctive feature of the car is its dual-fuel engine, capable of running on both gasoline and methane.
